The Adult Waiver Program is basically the same thing as Driver's Education, it consists of a classroom portion and Behind the Wheel but unlike Drivers ED its for people 18 and older.
For an adult who never took the classroom portion before will need to do so and taking the online version instead of coming to the class full of teenagers seems to be preferred.
If you took the class already you will just need to get the Certificate preferred Completion from the school you took the course. Behind the Wheel is 7 days and upon passing the Road Test on the 7th day you will be issued the Adult Waiver that you take to DMV and they will give you your license.
Reasons for taking the Adult Waiver Course (besides wanting to learn from the class and to drive with a DMV certified instructor to let you know whether you are ready to drive) are that you won't have to hold your learners permit for a minimum of 60 days, also you don't have to take the Road Test at the DMV.
If you do want to take the Road Test at DMV I do sugguest calling to schedule so an appointment so you don't waste an entire day there and you will also need to provide your own vehicle for the test.
If you don't want to take the classroom part or if there is any other reason you don't want to take the Adult Waiver program but still need help trying to obtain your license we offer Private Lessons which can be used to practice for the DMV Road Test.
